Lenovo joins hand with Amazon to launch new digital assistant called Lenovo Smart Assistant, the company will unveil the new product at the CES 2017. It is a speaker which is powered by Amazon’s Alexa cloud-based voice services.
It can recognise users voice commands to perform web searches, gives calendar updates or create reminders, play music, create lists and much more. The Smart Assistant has eight 360-degree far-field microphones, which can pick users voice commands from upto 16 feet (5 meters) of distance.
The Smart Assistant has Intel Celeron N3060 processor with 2 GB RAM with 8 GB internal storage, a 5W Tweeter and a 10W Woofer. It also has Bluetooth and Wi-Fi support.
Lenovo has also unveiled Smart Storage, which is a secure digital storage solution, which means you can use it to store data such as photos, videos, music and documents with a huge 6 TB capacity. It has dual-band wireless access and multi device auto sync capabilities. It also has integrated facial recognition software, that can organize entire photo library which is based on faces with high accuracy.
The Lenovo Smart Assistant is priced at $129.99 (approx. ₹8900), and expected to go on sale from May 2017.
