Panasonic and Qualcomm joining hands to bring Android based infotainment system to cars. The Android is just the same which we love on smartphone, not like Android Auto.
Both the companies looking to build an in-vehicle infotainment, and it is based on Android Nougat 7.0. The new system will utilize the operating system’s ability to scale to multiple screen sizes, applications and resolutions. This will give manufacturers more flexibility in creating in-dash units, which will fit their overall design and aesthetic.
Moreover, Qualcomm has special customized chipset called Snapdragon 820Am processor. It also includes integrated X12 LTE modem and Adreno 530 GPU.
