Many Samsung lovers who don’t want to spend much money on their flagship phones are waiting for the launch of Samsung midrange King, Galaxy J5 & J7. Both 2015 & 2016 models of these two phones had a very good sales and also they are at least giving a decent value for the money, unlike other Samsung midrange phones. Yesterday the Galaxy J5 2017 got listed on a German retailer’s website with all specs as well as photos. Also the pre-orders have already started for this phone. So let’s have a look into this.
As you can see from the image above, this phone looks very good in terms of design. On the top there are sensors, earpiece, front camera and seems like there’s a front LED flash as well (there’s one dot extra). Below is the 5.2” display with 2.5D glass on top. The bezels are slightly trimmed down as compared to it’s predecessor. & Also the touch type capacitive buttons along with home key is present below the screen, the home key also acts as a fingerprint sensor. On the right side, a speaker grill & power button is situated. Volume rockers & two slots for SIM card/MicroSd card is located at the left side. On the back there’s Rear Camera, LED flash, antenna bands & Samsung branding. The Camera & LED flash is placed in vertical manner.
Now coming to the internals of the phone, this Galaxy J5 2017 is powered by Exynos 7870 octa core processor clocked at 1.6Ghz . It sports a 5.2” 720p AMOLED display with 277 PPI & 2.5D curved glass on top. It has 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage with expandable memory upto 256GB via MicroSd card. There’s a 13MP Rear Camera with f1.7 lens and 13MP Front Camera (Maybe with Front LED flash). Both cameras do support video recordings upto 1080p. It packs a 3000mah lithium-ion non removable battery. This phone runs on Android 7.0 nougat out of the box with Samsung’s own UI on top. It weights at 158 grams & has thickness of 7.8mm . It has support for Dual SIM (Nano SIM), 4G LTE, VoLTE, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.1 and NFC. As it has NFC so it might have Samsung Pay feature. Also as I mentioned earlier there’s a fingerprint sensor on the front of the device.
So that’s all the information we have as of now. According to this retailer, the Galaxy J5 2017 costs at €279 ($315, Rs.20,000). The shipment will start from 22nd of June 2017. So we might see the official launch of Galaxy J5 2017 & maybe Galaxy J7 2017, very soon. So stay tuned with us for more information.
