After unveiling their current flagship Mi 6 in China, Xiaomi is bracing itself for the next launch. This time its a premium midranger from Xiaomi tipped as Mi 5x.
Regarding the launch, Xiaomi is sending invites for a July 26 event where it is expected to launch the Mi 5x. What is special with the device is, even with a mid-range specification it will run on top of Xiaomi’s new MIUI 9 and it will remain as the first phone to feature the software out of the box. Besides, the company has also teased the device in a post.
The device looks identical to the Mi 6 with a dual camera setup but also a fingerprint scanner. However, the rest of the specs remain a mystery with leaks suggest a 1080p display and the insanely popular Snapdragon 625 on board.
Speaking about the price, the Mi 5x may be priced around the 2000 CNY mark.
