The instant messaging application WhatsApp is consistently rolling out new features to enhance the experience of its users but today we got a new piece of information which is suggesting that the platform is having a serious problem and the same is accessing the microphone of the device even when the app is closed.
It is reported by several users about a bug in the instant messaging application which is accessing to the microphone but the problem is came to the spotlight by a Twitter engineer who noticed the problem on his Google Pixel 7 Pro and the bug is believed to affect several Android devices, including different Samsung and Pixel models and the problem is also having on several different versions of the Android app.
Over the last 24 hours we’ve been in touch with a Twitter engineer who posted an issue with his Pixel phone and WhatsApp.

The instant messaging application WhatsApp has responded to these reports and the company says that the problem is with the Android and not with the application itself. WhatsApp says it seems the problem on the Android Operating System that misattributed information in the privacy dashboard and asked Google to investigate further.
