During the Google I/O conference, the top most executive of Google Sundar Pichai revealed that PaLM 2 models are stronger in logic and reasoning. It is also revealed that it is having the training on multilingual text from over 100 languages. It is also capable to do the text-based tasks, including but not limited to reasoning, coding, and translation.
The search engine giant Google has adapted PaLM 2 to perform certain tasks for enterprise customers and it is also said that the company is also offering PaLM for the health data (Med-PaLM 2) as well. It will be capable to answer questions similar to those found on the US Medical Licensing Examination at an “expert” level. Google is also having a version trained on cybersecurity data (Sec-PaLM 2). It is said that the users of Google Cloud will get access to both of these models to a limited set of customers in the initial stage.
PaLM 2 is using 25 features and products within Google’s own domain that includes the new Google Bard. The new language model is also used to enhance the functionality of Google Workspace applications such as Docs, Slides, and Sheets.
