So the leaks of the Apple iPhone 8 has started to begin. Just recently we got some leaked images of iPhone 8’s panel. Also there are many rumours or expectations from various sources that iPhone 8 will have many new features which includes wireless charging, & Now we have something about the same. According to latest leak the iPhone 8 will come with wireless charging. So let’s dig into it.
According to Robert Hwang, CEO of Wistron, has confirmed that this year’s iPhone 8 will have wireless charging support. Wistron is the company who manufacture iPhones. He says that :
“Assembly process for the previous generations of [iPhones] have not changed much, though new features like waterproof and wireless charging now require some different testing, and waterproof function will alter the assembly process a bit.”
As he mentioned that iPhone 8 will also be waterproof, but if you recall the iPhone 7 & 7 Plus still has IP67 certification for water & dust resistance. So what’s new in this ? Maybe they will now upgrade the certification to IP68, or maybe they will bring their own water-resistant technology (A new marketing gimmick). You guess & do let us know in the comments below.
So that’s all the information we have as of now. Many iPhone users as well as Fanboys are waiting for this feature from a long time, this news will give them some relief.
