On our smartphones there are few more number of security options are available such as, number, password, pattern. And few devices has facial recognition mode, but it just basic 2D technology, which is not that safe. Well, Sony is all set to change this situation.

Sony shows off a 3D facial recognition on Xperia device, at Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Shanghai. In the device the company used a specially 3D depth sensor by SoftKinect, which is owned by Sony. And a facial recognition software, which is made by Swiss-based KeyLemon.
The company has not announced when the new technology will be available and which device will be powered with this new technology, but I assume that Sony may include this feature for its flagship device. Right now there is no more information available about this, but I’m sure we will get more information in the coming days.
