This year, the popular instant messaging application WhatsApp did an impressive job as the developers of the application introduced a variety of new features on the board. Today WhatsApp has released yet another privacy focused feature dubbed the Secret Code for Chat Lock, and this particular feature is adding an extra layer of protection to your most private conversations.
WhatsApp enabled users to lock their chat with their device password or biometric authentication. While this provided a level of security but the new feature will enable you to set a unique password that’s different from your device password.
The password will help you to hide the Locked chats folder from your chat list, which means your private chat will be invisible to anyone who doesn’t know the code. You can set the Secret Code using letters, numbers, special characters, or even an emoji.
Whenever you want to access the locked chat, then you need to simply type the secret code on the WhatsApp search bar. The feature is currently being rolled out to all WhatsApp users worldwide.
