Now the latest version of WhatsApp beta for Android is counting storage space for backups and that means the company will be implementing the same in the stable version very soon.
The company has confirmed to make the changes apply in the first half of 2024. WhatsApp will be offering 30 days of notification beforehand and the same will be displayed as a banner in the chat backup settings of WhatsApp.
Data including call history, images, messages, and videos will count towards your storage space. So now its the time to make a massive change in your backup habit and implement the needful changes to manage your cloud storage space effectively.
