The popular Chinese smartphone brand iQOO has officially unveiled the iQOO Z9 series in the market of China including the Z9, Z9x, and Z9 Turbo. We will be discussing about the vanilla variant and the Z9x in this article. So let’s get into the article to check out both devices in detail.
Everything about iQOO Z9 and Z9x
The new iQOO Z9 smartphone comes with a 6.78-inch AMOLED display along with a 1.5K resolution, 4,500 nits peak brightness, and a 144Hz refresh rate. The display is integrated with a fingerprint scanner. On the other hand, the iQOO Z9x features a 6.72 inch LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 1,000 nits peak brightness, and FHD+ resolution. Both devices come with a flat frame and they are IP64-certified dust and water-resistant. The Z9x has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
Speaking about the camera department, the iQOO Z9 and Z9x feature a 50MP main sensor and a 2MP depth lens on the back. The former features a 16MP selfie snapper while the latter comes with an 8MP front facing sensor.

Under the hood, the iQOO Z9 is powered by a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 whereas the Z9x is powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC. Both phones come with up to 12GB RAM and up to 512GB storage on the former. While the latter offers up to 256GB internal storage. The devices are backed by a massive 6,000mAh battery on the board along with 80W and 44W charging on the Z9 and Z9x respectively. Both the devices run on Android 14 with OriginOS 4 out of the box.
The iQOO Z9x starts at CNY 1,199 while the iQOO Z9 has a starting price of CNY 1,499. Both devices will be available in the market of China.
