The popular Chinese smartphone brand Oppo introduced the Oppo A5 Pro in the markets of China in December last year and now the device is launched in the global markets with compromised specifications. The Chinese variant of Oppo A5 Pro has the power of the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset but the global variant features Dimensity 6300, the device comes with up to 8GB RAM and 256GB storage and the storage can be expandable to 1TB via microSD.
Oppo has also made changes in the display department, the Chinese variant features a 6.7-inch FHD+ AMOLED panel, while the global variant comes with a 6.67-inch LCD screen. The device comes with 1604 x 720 pixels resolution along with a 120Hz refresh rate and 1000-nit peak brightness.
The Oppo A5 Pro comes with a dual rear setup that is in the combination of a 50MP main + 2MP depth. The device also features an 8MP front shooter. The device also features IP66/68/69 dust and water resistance along with military-grade MIL-STD-810H durability, and 360° drop protection.
Oppo has also reduced the battery capacity from 6,000mAh to 5,800mAh, though 45W wired charging solution. The device also features a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
The pricing of the Oppo A5 Pro global variant starts at NT$7,990 and the device is currently available in the markets of Taiwan. The device is expected to be announced in other markets including in India very soon.
