Microsoft has officially announced that the company is bringing the new update to Snipping Tool to Windows Insiders in the Canary and Dev Channels on Windows 11 and the new feature will be available with version 11.2503.27.0.
The update is bringing the capability of Text Extractor to the Snipping Tool capture bar and the new implementation will be reducing the number of steps to obtain text to your clipboard without having to take a screenshot of your screen.
You can able to use Text Extractor by opening the Snipping Tool via Win{Windows }+Shift+S or launch the app and you need to click the Text Extractor button in the toolbar. After that, you can select the region you would like to scan or text.
Now you will be able to manually select the text to copy to the clipboard, or you can click on the “Copy all text” button in the toolbar to quickly copy all text. You can also get more options like “Remove line breaks” from copied text or simplify the experience entirely with “Automatically copy text” selection.
