Nothing will be launching its first over the headphones called the Nothing Headphone 1 on July 1 along with the premium smartphone dubbed the Nothing Phone 3. According to the latest information, the upcoming Nothing Headphone 1 will be coming with 40mm dynamic drivers with a 16-ohm impedance and a PU diaphragm with a nickel coating. The audio of the device is “sound by KEF,” a UK-based high-end audio brand known for its loudspeakers.
The upcoming device will be coming with adaptive bass enhancement along with spatial audio, and the device will also feature 8-band custom EQ settings as well. The device will also support AAC, SBC, and LDAC, covering both standard and high-resolution audio codecs. It will be supporting active noise cancellation (ANC) up to 42dB and the device supports a 2,000Hz frequency range. The device is also reported to feature a transparency mode.
It is reported to come with three forms of physical control such as a roll mechanism, a paddle, and a button. The device will also feature Bluetooth 5.3 and it is supported by the Nothing X companion app on Android and iOS. The device is also said it to come with up to 80 hours of battery life with ANC off (using AAC), dropping to 35 hours with ANC on. The device will also support fast charging.
The upcoming device will be coming with features including Google Fast Pair, Microsoft Swift Pair, dual device connection, a personal sound profile, on-head detection, Find My Device support, a low lag mode for gaming or video, and a charging status LED.
