Xiaomi is skipping the Xiaomi 16 series, and the company will be launching the new Xiaomi 17 series as the flagship smartphone series of 2025. The Chinese electronics giant Xiaomi has confirmed that there will be three mobile phones in the smartphone series, including the Xiaomi 17, along with 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max. The company has also confirmed that the 17 Pro series will be coming with a secondary display on the back.

According to the benchmarking platform, the next-generation Xiaomi 17 Pro smartphone will come with the power of the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 flagship mobile processor and the chipset will be announced on September 24. It is worth mentioning that the upcoming Xiaomi 17 series is considered to be the first models to feature the upcoming Snapdragon flagship processor.
The benchmarking platform has also confirmed that the device will come with 16GB of RAM on the board and the device will be running on the Android 16 operating system out of the box.
It is also confirmed that in single-core test, the device has achieved 3,025 points while the multi-core score is 9,178 points.
