The Chinese telecommunications giant Huawei has officially launched its latest version of operating system called the HarmonyOS 6. It is not a custom skin, and it is not based on the Android Operating System. Huawei has made it independently and created its own ecosystem. The new operating system comes with lots of improvements compared to the previous generation and brings new changes as well as several new features. The company has also revealed the list of eligible devices as well. So let’s get into the article to learn the full details of the new version of the operating system.
Everything about HarmonyOS 6
The latest HarmonyOS 6 comes with an updated design language and it brings responsive animations along with a dynamic light-sensing system. The lock screen is also improved and the company has introduced AIGC-based signature customization that will enable the system to analyze your font style and image, then it will be creating artistic wallpapers and themes.
It is also introduced with various optimizations and the same will be offering a smoother UI. The latest HarmonyOS 6 comes with measurable performance upgrades that comes with the power of the new Ark Engine. It is said that the new operating system will be offering an 11 percent faster app startup, a 21 percent quicker page rendering, and 30 percent faster content loading compared with previous versions. The company has also updated the file sharing setup and now it will enable you to send files to more than 60 apps with the new tap-to-share feature, and drag and drop content just by looking at a target device. It also comes with seamless two-way sharing between your smartphone and PC.
The operating system is also integrated with AI and in the camera application, you will be finding scene-aware portrait retouching that adjusts lighting, background blur and depth in one tap. You will also get an “AI-one-click filming” tool that will convert your still photos into animated clips. The Huawei smart assistant is also updated with the Xiaoyi AI 6 update. The operating system also features the new AI Health Assistant that will be offering voice based consultations, insurance code access, and it will be offering hospital navigation, and interprets medical reports via iFLYTEK integration.
Huawei has also taken privacy and security very seriously in the latest HarmonyOS 6, and it comes with the new StarShield Security Architecture that applies AI driven protection from kernel to cloud. It is also including new features like Family Anti-Fraud to monitor suspicious calls, AI Anti-Fraud to detect deep-fake attempts in video calls, and Anti-Peek Protection to hide sensitive content when someone looks over your shoulder.
It also comes with the encrypted sharing capability and that will make sure the files only reach approved recipients, while a View-Once mode limits secondary sharing of photos or videos. For families, the operating system brings a support for screen-time moderation, location tracking of older users, and real-time navigation assistance.
