It is reported that the company will be launching the Poco M8 Pro in January 2026 along with the vanilla variant. The upcoming Poco M8 Pro was expected to be a rebranded version of the Redmi Note 15 Pro Plus but the latest report says that the device will be missing the 200MP periscope telephoto camera with 4× optical zoom and Poco will be using a 50MP primary camera. If this information is correct, then Poco is making a massive camera downgrade.
The source has also said that the Poco M8 Pro will come with a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The device is expected to come with the power of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 mobile processor along with LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage. The device will be running on the Android 15 operating system but we can expect that it will receive a couple of software updates.
It is expected to come with a 50MP main sensor along with an 8MP ultra-wide lens, while the front houses a 32MP selfie camera. The device will be coming with a 6,500mAh battery along with 100W fast charging via a USB Type-C 2.0 port. The device will also feature an in-display fingerprint scanner along with connectivity options Wi Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, and an IR blaster. It will be coming with an IP68 rated dust and water resistance.
