Xiaomi has introduced the latest Xiaomi Leica Leitz Phone during its event in Barcelona. The device is official in the global markets and it is basically the global variant of the China-exclusive Xiaomi 17 Ultra Leica Edition, with a few changes. The biggest difference between the Chinese variant and the global variant is the battery capacity. We know that the Chinese variant houses a 6,800mAh battery, but the global variant comes with a 6,000mAh battery. The global variant is available in 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage.

It has the power of the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 mobile processor and the device runs on Xiaomi’s HyperOS 3 out of the box. The device features a 6.9-inch LTPO “HyperRGB” OLED display with a 1–120Hz adaptive refresh rate along with Dolby Vision and the device can reach up to 3,500 nits of peak brightness.
The device also features a 50-megapixel front-facing camera along with a triple rear setup co-developed with Leica. The main sensor is a 1-inch type 50-megapixel unit along with a 200-megapixel telephoto lens with a variable focal range between 75mm and 100mm, and a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera. The device also features a physical rotating Leica Camera Ring around the camera module that will enable users to adjust zoom and exposure manually. The device also comes with a Leica Essential mode.
It comes with 90W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. The device features an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance along with an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner. The device also supports Dolby Atmos tuning, stereo speakers, and Hi-Res Audio support for both wired and wireless listening.
The device is compatible with Xiaomi’s Photography Kit Pro and the accessory also houses a 2,000mAh battery along with a more camera-like grip, complete with physical controls.
Regarding the pricing and availability, the device has a price tag of €1,999 in Europe and £1,699 in the UK.
