The newly announced Xiaomi 17 runs on Android 16 with a layer of HyperOS 3 on top and the device also comes with the new AI tools. The device features a 6.3-inch 1.5K OLED display with up to a 120Hz refresh rate, up to 300Hz of touch sampling rate, and 3,500 nits of peak brightness. The screen also comes with a 19.6:9 aspect ratio, DCI-P3 colour gamut, HDR 10+, HDR Vivid, and Dolby Vision support. The device comes with 1.18 mm bezels around the screen.

The device also features a 50-megapixel selfie camera with an f/2.2 aperture and a 90-degree field of view. The rear cameras of the latest Xiaomi 17 are capable of recording up to 8K videos at 30fps and up to 4K resolution videos at up to 60fps.
The Xiaomi 17 global variant houses a 6330mAh silicon-carbon battery with 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. The device also features 22.5W reverse charging for compatible devices. The device supports dual-band WiFi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 along with a USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C port. The device is IP68 rated for dust and water resistance.
Regarding the pricing and availability, Xiaomi has priced the 12GB + 256GB model at 999 Euros while the 12GB + 512GB version costs 1099 Euros.
