The device is confirmed to be announced in the country on March 17 and it was previously revealed that the device will be available through Amazon. The upcoming Samsung Galaxy M17e 5G features a 6.7-inch HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate and it has the power of the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor.
It runs on One UI 8.0, based on Android 16 along with features including Circle to Search, large home screen folders, real-time notifications via the Now Bar, and AI integration with Google Gemini. The device will be receiving six years of Android OS and security updates.
The device features a 50MP primary sensor and a 2MP depth sensor for portrait effects on the rear along with an 8MP sensor for selfies and video calls. The device also supports 12 5G bands along with a 6000mAh battery.
It is also revealed that the device features a slim 8.2mm design with a Glass Fibre Reinforced Polymer (GFRP) back panel and it also comes with an IP54 rating for dust and splash resistance. The Samsung Galaxy M17e 5G comes in Vibe Violet and Blitz Blue colour options. The device will be available on Samsung’s online store, Amazon India, and offline retailers in India.
