The world’s most favourite video hub YouTube, has officially announced that the platform will be more transparent in the way it labels AI-generated content.
From today onwards, all videos uploaded on YouTube that are meaningfully AI-edited or generated will show a prominent AI label on them. The long-form videos will also show the label of AI below the video player and above the description, while the short-form videos will show the label over the video directly.
The platform still primarily required content creators to tag the video as AI-generated if that is the case. But if the creator does not mention then the content will automatically be detected by the system, which will analyse and flag AI-generated content.
It is really a good move by YouTube as it is very important to be known that the content is created by AI or not.
