These days, we are facing a memory problem in the smartphone industry, and that is creating a price hike as well. Now we have a new piece of information, and if it is correct, then we will be getting a big relief very soon. It is reported that smartphones that are focused on AI features will come with a different memory setup.
Currently, everyone is dependent on the LPDDR memory technology; however, this will change very soon. The latest report says that a new memory format called LLW, short for Low Latency Wide DRAM, is being developed and will address the current problem.
LLW is said to be inspired by HBM, which achieves high speed by placing multiple memory layers close to the processor, and it will be connecting them via an extremely wide interface. The result is significantly higher bandwidth, 10 to 15 times faster than the current best LPPDR memory.
So let’s wait for the upcoming memory technology, and you guys are recommended to stick with us for more updates at your fingertips.
