It is reported that the upcoming HyperOS 4 will be launched next month and it will be coming with huge improvements. The upcoming operating system has been rebuilt using the Rust programming language along with the Flutter development framework. It is also said that the upcoming update will be removing legacy MIUI code completely.
The update will be improving overall system smoothness by around 40 percent, increase background app retention by 35 percent, and reduce idle memory consumption by 25 to 30 percent. The upcoming HyperOS 4 is also expected to feature Xiaomi’s new Liquid Glass design language and the same will offer softer 2.5D-inspired visuals and two interface styles, including Transparent and Soft modes. It is also reported that the upcoming update will strengthen cross-device connectivity across smartphones, tablets, smart home products, and vehicles.
It is also said that the file transfer speeds between supported devices could increase by up to 300 percent as well. There will be a unified AI coordination framework and it is said to improve communication between Xiaomi devices. It is also expected to integrate Xiaomi’s on-device AI models, including Mimo and the Miclaw AI agent that will enable offline features such as document summarization, multilingual translation and AI image editing.
