Xiaomi has already confirmed to host a messive event in China on September 7 where the company will be launching multiple new devices and one of them is its upcoming book style folding device dubbed the Xiaomi 18 Fold. The company has officially confirmed that the upcoming foldable will come with a large 6000mAh Xiaomi Jinshajiang battery. It uses an innovative stacking process designed to fit its large capacity into the foldable’s relatively compact body. It is also confirmed that the battery has a 20% silicon content and reaches an energy density of up to 920Wh/L.
It is also revealed that the upcoming Xiaomi 18 Fold will come with 67W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. The device was recently reported to come with a starting price of over 10,000 yuan, and if the information is correct then it will be the first phone of the company across all versions to cross that threshold. The upcoming device is also expected that every storage option of the device will be available above 10,000 yuan, with the base model expected to sit around 12,000 yuan.
The upcoming device will be coming with the power of Xiaomi’s in-house Xring O3 chipset along with a Leica-tuned triple camera setup including a 200MP main sensor with a 1/1.56″ sensor, a 50MP periscope telephoto offering 3.5x optical zoom, and a 50MP ultra-wide.
