The Moto X4 has a uni-body metal construction along with anodized metal frame, the device also has a 3D contoured design at the back side, with this the back side will shine when light falls on it. And the device also has IP68 dust and water resistance.
It comes with 5.2 inch Full HD 1080p IPS LCD display with 424 ppi and Gorilla Glass 3 protection on top. 2.2 GHz octa core Snapdragon 630 processor, and the device is paired with 3/4 GB RAM along with Adreno 508. As the device has two variants, it has two storage options; 3 GB RAM variant has 32 GB internal storage, and the 4 GB RAM variant has 64 GB internal storage and can be expandable upto 2 TB via microSD card.

Speaking about the camera department, it has dual camera setup at back of the device. It has 12 megapixel (Dual Auto-focus Pixel sensor, f/2.0 aperture, 1.4um) + 8 megapixel (Ultra-wide angle with 120-degree field-of-view, f/2.2 aperture, 1.12um) with PDAF, Professional Mode, Selective Focus, Depth Detection and Focus, Selective Black & White, Background Replacement, Landmark/Object Recognition, Slow-Motion and LED flash, it also has 16 megapixel front facing camera with f/2.0 aperture, 1um, 4 MP Adaptive Low Light Mode, Selfie Panorama, Professional Mode and Selfie Flash.
The smartphone supports 4G LTE and VoLTE connectivity, Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, NFC, USB Type-C, 3.5 mm headphone jack. It also features Fingerprint Scanner, Synchronized Bluetooth Streaming, Moto Key. It runs on Android Nougat v7.1, and the company has promised to give the Android Oreo. The device is backed on 3,000 mAh with 15 W TurboPower charging. In terms of colour options, the device will be available in Super Black and Sterling Blue
