Along with the new flagship smartphone models, the Chinese smartphone brand Oppo has introduced a new smartwatch called the Oppo Watch S2. The latest Oppo Watch S2 features a 1.46-inch AMOLED screen along with a stainless steel case. The company has made the device available in multiple multiple color options including Dynamic Orange, Mist Pink, and Mountain Shadow Gray.
Oppo has introduced the Oppo Watch S2 with a segmented fluoroelastomer strap that Oppo says is thinner and more breathable then previously used versions. The device features a standard brightness of 600 nits along with up to 3,000 nits in specific outdoor sports modes.
The new Oppo Watch S2 introduces a feature called FatMax and the same will be calculating a personalized target heart rate for fat burning based on the user’s height, weight, resting heart rate, and VO2 max.
Oppo has introduced the device with real-time prompts to help users stay within that specific heart-rate range. The device can also estimate the grams of fat and carbohydrates burned. It also supports more than 100 sports modes and includes dual-frequency GPS for outdoor route tracking.
The device also comes with an eight-channel optical heart-rate sensor, a 16-channel blood-oxygen sensor, an ECG electrode, and a temperature sensor. It will enable you to run a 60-second health check that logs 13 different metrics at once. The device also supports sleep monitoring, sleep apnea screening, and all-day SpO2 monitoring.
It runs on ColorOS Watch 17 along with features including Fluid Cloud for live updates such as transit and food deliveries. The device will be working with two smartphones simultaneously. The device also supports NFC for transit cards and gesture controls.
The device comes with up to 10 days of battery life on battery saving mode or you will be getting 7 Days of battery life in standard usage. The device also supports 5ATM for water resistance and it also features IP69 and IP69K ratings for dust and water protection.
Regarding the pricing and availability, the new Oppo Watch S2 starts at 1,599 yuan and it will be available in China from September 24.
