We all are familiar with the ‘OK Google’ hotword to make search content from the internet or from our device. However, we are hearing about a new hotword which is called ‘Hey Google’ from some time. And Google testing this new hotword from October on few limited devices, and it was first introduced on Google Home.
Well, now Google rolling out the new ‘Hey Google’ hotword in Google Assistant for more Android users, which means now you can ask your queries to Google with the new hotword instead of the old ‘Ok Google’. Users of Google Assistant will get a notification on their device to re-setup the voice model, and after that, you will able to use the new hotword to give your voice commands.

And if you missed the notification then, you can head over to Settings > Google > Search > Voice > Voice Match > Retrain voice model on your device to activate it. Once done, you will able to use “Hey Google”, alongside “Ok Google”, to invoke Google Assistant or Google Search.
So, which hotword is your favourite??? If you ask me, then ‘Hey Google’ is now my favourite as it feels more natural.
