A couple of months ago, the developers of Instagram made it possible to share Instagram stories directly on Facebook. In this way, the Facebook targeted to attract more users to the Facebook Stories. Now the developers of Instagram testing a new feature which will allow users to share Instagram stories directly on WhatsApp as Status.
According to the source, when a user posts a story on the Instagram, at that time he/she will see a button at the bottom which will allow sharing the same post directly on WhatsApp as the Status. And when the Instagram Story is posted on the WhatsApp, it will be seen with Instagram logo at the bottom right corner which shows that it’s being cross-posted.
Moreover, the Facebook-owned Instagram confirmed to TechCrunch that they are testing a feature for the cross-posting. This feature is testing in a small number of users, and there is no information about the wide roll out of the feature. This is a really good introduction by the Instagram, as it will be handy for those who shared both platforms.
