HMD Global who has now affiliated with Nokia, launched the Nokia 6 in January last year, and after a leak, now the company has officially launched the second generation of Nokia 6 and it is called as Nokia 6 (2018) As the device is the second generation, it is coming with some improved design and hardware. So, let’s get into the article to know more about the new Nokia 6 (2018).
Let’s start with the build of the device, it is made with 6000 series aluminium and its features a uni-body construction. The Nokia 6 (2018) comes with 5.5 inch Full-HD display with 2.5D curved glass atop, and the glass is protected with Gorilla Glass 3, along with 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution.
As I mentioned in the starting of the article, the device has an improved hardware setup. Snapdragon 630 SoC powers the device, which usually not found in the budget smartphone. It is powered by octa-core Snapdragon 630 processor and it is clocked @ 2.2 GhZ and paired with 4 GB RAM, along with Adreno 508 for the graphical task. Speaking about the storage, the device is coming with two storage options; it has 32/64 GB internal storage and can be expandable upto 128 GB via microSD card.

Speaking about the photography department, it has a 16-megapixel rear camera with PDAF, f/2.0 aperture and LED flash. And it also has an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture and 84° wide-angle lens. Moreover, the new version of Nokia 6 also has a new feature called Bothie which allows users to capture photos and videos via the front and rear camera simultaneously.
Speaking about the connectivity, the device has the latest Bluetooth 5.0 and support for 4G LTE and VoLTE. The device also has a fingerprint scanner for your security. It runs on Android Nougat v7.1.1 which can be upgradeable to Android Oreo, and the device is backed on 3,000 mAh battery. Moving to the colour choices, the device will be available in black and silver white.
Pricing and availability of the device:
- The 32 GB storage variant is priced at ¥1499 (approx. ₹14,650).
- The 64 GB storage variant is priced at ¥1699 (approx. ₹16,600).
- The device will be available in China from January 10.
