Well, now the tech giant Microsoft has announced that the Office 2019 will only support and run on Windows 10 which means all the Windows operating system like Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1 and older versions will not able to run the latest version of Microsoft Office. In the latest blog, Microsoft revealed this and said you need to upgrade to Windows 10 to get the latest version of office without subscribing to the office 365 service. Moreover, the company also said about the life cycle of Office 2019. The company says the new version of Office will get five years of mainstream support, and after that user will get 2 years of extended support.
Microsoft Office 2019 will be available later this year
Speaking on the availability, the Office 2019 will be available by later 2018. And the latest version of Office will come with all the software which we can find in the Microsoft Office such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook client apps along with server version of Exchange, SharePoint, and Skype which is for business. The company is also planning to roll out preview Version of the Office 2019 by the middle of 2018, and the software is targeting the organizations which are not using the cloud Office 365.
That’s not all, the tech giant is also extending the Windows 10 support for the users of enterprise and education who are running a certain version of the operating system; Windows 10 version 1511, 1607, 1703, and 1709. All these versions will be supported for another six months to help the users of the enterprise and education to move to the latest supported versions of Windows 10.
