So finally we are in the flood of devices launching at the event of MWC 2018, in Barcelona. If we talk about smartphone launches, last year Nokia made a Global comeback in the smartphone industry. So as it’s the first anniversary of Nokia’s comeback, the expectations are somewhat high. Nokia has launched some new devices and made some devices Global. But in this article, let’s talk about a new Nokia feature phone i.e. Nokia 8110 4G.

This Nokia 8110 4G phone is a feature phone by Nokia that’s launched as a successor to the last year’s launched Nokia 3310. It has the iconic curved design from the past, with the same slide-down cover. Once upon a time, many of us was a fan of these slider phones and resembled having these types of phones as style status. The main functionality of this slider is same as what we have seen in past i.e. answer or end calls. It comes in two colour variants i.e. Black and Banana Yellow colours.
Talking about the software, this Nokia 8110 4G runs on KaiOS. But wait, despite running on KaiOS, it supports some popular Google apps like Google search, Maps, and also the Google Assistant. We don’t know how the Assistant will work on this device, but it’s there. One can sync his/her contacts and calendar events with Google account as well. So it’s a very nice & nifty feature. Also, you can use social networking apps like Facebook and Twitter as well. No information about WhatsApp as of now.
Coming to the specifications, this Nokia 8110 4G comes with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 205 dual core processor and Adreno 306 GPU. Well it’s too low for an Android device now, but reasonably good for KaiOS. It sports a 2.4 inch curved display with QVGA resolution. It has 512mb of RAM with 4GB of internal storage with MicroSd card support upto 64GB. It has 2MP of Rear Camera, and no front camera. The battery capacity is 1500mAh which looks very good for a feature phone. Also, as the name suggests, it has 4G LTE support along with VoLTE and WiFi hotspot support.
This Nokia 8110 4G is priced at €80 (USD 98.3 , INR 6,364). This phone will be available from May, but the countries are unknown as of now. Personally speaking, this phone looks a bit overpriced, as at this price we can get a decent smartphone running on Android. Not an exceptional smartphone but decent. Let’s see what will be the price of this phone in other markets. So what are your thoughts on this Nokia 8110 4G ? Do share your thoughts in the comment section below.
