The popular flagship makers OnePlus recently launched its latest flagship smartphone called the OnePlus 6T, and now today the company has unveiled a special edition of the smartphone and that is called OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition. Having said that, the company is not doing this for the first time, as in the last year the company joined its hand with Disney for the launch of OnePlus 5T Star Wars Limited Edition. And early in this year, the smartphone brand teamed up with Marvel for the launch of OnePlus 6 Marvel Avengers Limited Edition.
Well for the latest addition, OnePlus joined with the popular racer McLaren for the launch of OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition. In the latest special edition of the OnePlus 6T, the company hasn’t changed the designing setup which means the device has the same design which we have seen on the regular variants of OnePlus 6T. However, the company has done some hardware as well as visual changes in the McLaren Edition.

The company used a carbon fiber-like pattern on the rear side underneath the glass which the company says is inspired by the carbon fiber which is used in the McLaren’s F1 cars. And now the bottom edges of the back of the device are covered with the Papaya Orange color, along with the McLaren logo which “moves and shifts in different lighting and angles, highlighting the fluidity and speed of the device.”
Speaking about the hardware changes, in the latest McLaren Edition, the company has paired the smartphone with 10 GB of RAM along with Fast Charger which is dubbed Warp Charge 30 (previously called Dash Charger). With the latest technology, the company claims a full day of charge with 20 minutes of charge. Moreover, the device comes with a Papaya Orange colored braided charging cable instead of company’s signature red color.
The OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition runs Android Pie which is based OxygenOS out-of-the-box, but, it comes with custom UI which includes animations, themes, and wallpapers that are exclusive to the device.
Speaking about the pricing of the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition, it is priced in the US for $699 (approx. ₹50,500).
