The developers of the world’s most favourite instant messaging application have finally rolled out the much awaited Picture-in-Picture (PiP) Mode in WhatsApp for Android. This particular feature was in testing mode from a long time and the company was also made available this feature for the iPhone users early in this year.
With the new Picture-in-Picture (PiP) Mode, users can able to play a video inside the small chat window and that can be moved around as well well this feature will allow users to continue chatting without any issue in watching a received video. You can able to play a video in PiP mode by clicking on the video which you received in the chat and the video will automatically play in a window which means you don’t have to manually enable this feature.
Having said that, the Picture-in-Picture (PiP) Mode will only available inside a chat which means if you go back from a chat or switch WhatsApp to another application then the playback will be paused. Personal speaking, this is not a PIP mode a user would want, but something is better than nothing.
The new feature will be available in the version 2.18.380, if you are not on the latest version then don’t wait, go to the Google Play Store and update the WhatsApp to the latest version to enjoy the new PiP mode.
