Just a couple of moments ago, we updated that the South Korean electronics giant LG to unveil its flagship smartphone at the upcoming MWC 2019 event and now we got the renders of the upcoming LG G8 ThinQ. The renders of the device confirm that the company will launch the device at the upcoming tech show in Barcelona and it also gives us a look at the upcoming flagship smartphone of LG.
According to the source, the upcoming flagship device of LG is going to follow the same designing concept of the LG G7+ ThinQ. The renders shows that the LG G8 ThinQ will rock a glass sandwich design along with a metal frame in the middle, the device also has a dual camera setup at the back and that is placed horizontally and now the device missing the laser autofocus sensor but we believe that it could be moved inside the camera module. That said, the camera setup is a surprise because the LG V40 ThinQ came with triple camera setup and now the company implemented dual cameras. Moreover, it is also said that the front side of the LG G8 ThinQ has a similar setup of the camera which we saw in the V-series.
Moving on, we can see the fingerprint scanner at the rear side which means that LG’s upcoming flagship device will not sport in display fingerprint scanner. The device also has a wide and ugly notch on the top of the display and it is likely to come with 6.1-inch display along with the 19:5:9 aspect ratio.
At the bottom side of the device, we can see the USB Type-C port, speaker grill and a 3.5 mm headphone jack which will bring a big smile on the face of the users who love this option. The power button and SIM tray at the right-hand side and left side of the device accommodates volume button along with a dedicated button for the Google Assistant. Having said that, there is an additional hole on the left side of the device and that could be an additional microphone for the noise cancellation.
The renders do not indicate any think about the secondary display or the foldable setup which we saw in the previous report of the device. Let’s take all this information as a pinch of salt and if the renders are trustworthy then LG’s upcoming flagship device is not interesting stuff.
