Just yesterday, the Chinese smartphone brand Oppo announced its new sub-brand and that is called Reno and the company also confirmed that the first device of its sub-brand will be unveiled on April 10. Apart from that, there was no information about the specifications of the device. Well, now we got the information about the specification details of the first Reno smartphone.
The smartphone has spotted on the database of Singapore’s IMDA (Info-communications Media Development Authority) as well as on the Bluetooth SIG site. Going through the certifications, the IMDA lists a model number CPH1917 and reveals that the upcoming Reno phone will be unveiled as Oppo Reno.
Furthermore, the Bluetooth SIG site reveals the key specifications of the smartphone. The listing also has the same model number CPH1917, and it is expected to run on the latest ColorOS 6.0, and will sport a 6.4-inch display. It will be powered by Snapdragon 710 processor and said to rock dual camera setup and that’s in the combination of a 48-megapixel rear sensor and a 5-megapixel sensor, along with a front 16-megapixel selfie sensor as well. Connectivity wise, the Reno Phone will support the Bluetooth v5.0 and Wi-Fi 802.11ac.
That’s not all, the Chinese leakster Star Universe has leaked a video teaser and that suggests at a periscope style lens integration. The teaser also shows the rear side of the Reno phone, and that seems to sport a triple camera setup with one square-shaped lens and this suggests that Oppo will integrate a periscope lens and introduce the 10x lossless zoom technology.
