We are still far away from the stable version of Android Q, and today an official of Google announced that the company will implement scrolling screenshots feature on the Android R Operating System.
The scrolling screenshots feature is common on the devices like Xiaomi, OnePlus, and more, the feature allows you to capture an entire webpage, text conversation, email, and more than just what’s on your screen at any given moment. And the features comes in part of the custom skin of Android over the Android operating system.
Having said that, Google doesn’t like bloatware and that’s why this kind of features are not included in the Android builds. However, the company has changed its mindset and gearing up to bring the scrolling screenshots. As VP of Engineering for Android at GoogleDave Burke, promised in a tweet to include the scrolling screenshots feature in the Android R which is still one OS version away.
We've added scrollable screenshots to the hopper for Android R and hopefully can land it in that release. Make it so @dsandler 🙂

Well, with this implementation the scrolling screenshot feature will be available in the stock Android and the devices which runs on the stock Android. As of now, we don’t have any other information but we can hear more about the same and more upcoming features in the coming months, as mentioned above, we are still one OS version away from the Android R Operating System.
