At the stage of Google For India 2019 event, the Mountain View company Google has announced a couple of new features for the world’s most favourite digital assistant i.e. the Google Assistant. The new features strengthen the Google Assistant and give more power to the users of India. So, without making any further delay let’s dive into the article to check out all the new features of the Google Assistant.
New features of Google Assistant
Let’s start with the Phone Line feature, its an Internet free service and the search engine giant Google has joined its hand with the popular telecom operator of the country – Vodafone Idea for this. This feature will offer a voice search without the need for data or an Internet connection which means the Vodafone and Idea users can now carry out some important features without the connectivity of the internet.
Users need to dial 000 800 9191 000 which is a toll-free number and this will activate Google Assistant and users can ask any questions on the phone and the answers will be offered by the Google Assistant in the same manner. And the best thing is all types of devices can utilize this feature which means this feature can be accessed even on a 2G phone.
Well, this feature will definitely be going to help those who live in low connectivity areas and we also expect that Google will add more service providers to support this feature.
Along with this feature, Google promised to bring the Interpreter mode in India soon, for both Android and Android Go users. This feature will offer real-time translations in English and Hindi using Google Assistant. Furthermore, the tech giant Google has also added support for many third-party apps such as Dominos, Ola Cabs, HealthifyMe, Faasos, FreshMenu, and more into the Google Assistant and that will offer quick app-based actions. For example, you can order by triggering the voice assistant.
Furthermore, the company has also added the support to watch the news in Hindi, with a simple ‘Ok Google, Hindi news’ voice trigger and the same will be available soon. The ability to read, listen, and watch the news in Hindi will be available on Android Go, Kai OS, and Android phones.
Users can now change the language of the Google Assistant by a simple voice command i.e. “Ok Google, Hindi bolo.” Lastly, the Assistant will also soon be available in Hindi on Android TVs.
