Key Points:

- It is reported that the company will launch the device very soon.
Back in last year, the tech giant Microsoft showcased its foldable device and that will run on the world’s most favourite mobile operating system Android. The company delayed the launch of the device in the market and the coronavirus also played a vital role for making it late in the market. Well, now we got a new piece of information which suggests that the company is gearing up to launch the same very soon.
According to a new report, Microsoft is gearing up to launch its new foldable device called Microsoft Surface Duo ahead of the upcoming Samsung event where the company will launch its foldable device along with the Galaxy Note 20 series and the same is expected to happen on August 5.
That means we can expect Microsoft will launch the foldable device in the coming week or in the month of July. Apart from this, we don’t have any other information about the upcoming Microsoft Surface Duo but if you don’t know anything about the same then you can check out the details of the device.
It is believed that the upcoming device will have 1800 x 1350 pixels, and the screen is AMOLED which is the current flagship standard. The Surface Duo open the screen outwards and can go up to 360 degrees when fully unfold. This offers multiple use cases to help typing as a mini laptop, full-size screen for binge-watching and so on. Do note that when folded inwards, the phone cannot be used until we open it up to a certain degree, which is the design choice Microsoft opted for. This design will surely benefit from the drag and drop split-screen usage featured on the Microsoft Apps. Still, the other app developers are yet to port similar functionality in their respective apps.
The camera department will be handled by a single 11 MP sensor with f/2.0 aperture at the rear. It will feature a 3,460 mAh battery. Other reports claim that the phone will lack NFC Connectivity and Wireless Charging.
The Microsoft Surface Duo will be powered by the one-year-old Snapdragon 855 which could be underwhelming given the fact that all Android flagships now ship with the latest Snapdragon 865 at heart.
