Specifications of Realme V5
It features a 6.5-inch FHD+ IPS LCD display with 20:9 aspect ratio along with a 90 Hz refresh rate and a touch sampling rate of 180 Hz. The selfie camera is housed inside a punch hole on the top left of the screen. There is a fingerprint scanner on top of the power button which tightens the security with face unlock.
Under the hood, the device is powered by Mediatek Dimensity 720 processor based on 7 nm architecture. It consists of two Cortex-A76 cores and six Cortex-A55 cores, capable of clocking up to 2 GHz. The smartphone is paired with 6 or 8 GB of RAM along with a 128GB storage and a microSD card slot for expansion.
Talking about the cameras, the Realme V5 features a 16-megapixel front camera. The rear cameras are in the combination of a 48-megapixel sensor, with an f/1.8 aperture followed by an 8-megapixel wide-angle camera with a 119-degree field of view. It s accompanied by a depth sensor for portraits and a macro-camera for close up shots.
Regarding the connectivity options, Realme V5 supports 5G (sub-6 GHz and on SA/NSA network), Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/Yes, GPS, Bluetooth v5.00, USB OTG, and USB Type-C. The device comes with a Realme UI 1.0 on top of Android 10 out of the box, and the same packs a hefty 5,000 mAh battery charges at 30W fast charging capability. The company promises that the charger can top up the smartphone in just under 65 minutes from 0% to 100%. The audio is also certified by Dolby Atmos and supports Hi-Res Audio for “exquisite audio experiences”, according to the company.
Pricing and availability
The 6/128 GB storage variant of Realme V5 is priced at the CNY1,499 ($215/€182) and the 8/128 GB variant is priced at CNY1,899 ($270/€230). They are available in Blue and Green Colours with Matte-Glossy finish and a Silver variant which carries the brand name etched vertically on the backside. The pre-orders are already live on the Realme China Website. The shipping date is set for August 7 accompanied by flash sales.
