Vivo is known to make smartphones with a focus on camera and build. Sticking to that philosophy, Vivo has unveiled its latest smartphone – Vivo S7. It comes with lots of features coupled with looks ensuing the beauty as well, which appeals to many customers, especially in the offline market. Specifications of Vivo S7
It features a 6.44-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with 20:9 aspect ratio. The display panel supports 1080 x 2400 px resolution and HDR support with 98% NTSC colour gamut. There are two selfie cameras housed inside a notch at the centre. There is a fingerprint scanner on the display which tightens the security with face unlock.
Under the hood, the device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G processor which supports 5G connectivity. The smartphone is paired with 8 GB of LPDDR4X RAM along with a 128/256 GB UFS 2.1 storage with a microSD card slot for expansion.
Talking about the cameras, the Vivo S5 features two selfie cameras. One is a 44-megapixel sensor with an f/2.0 aperture and the other one is an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera with 105-degree field of view. The primary selfie camera is capable of shooting videos with 4K resolution at 60 Frames Per Second. The rear cameras are in the combination of a 64-megapixel sensor, with support for EIS and Super Night Mode by Vivo. Next up is an 8-megapixel ultra-wide angle camera which can also be used for macro shots. The third and the final sensor is a 2-megapixel one for depth measuring.
Regarding the connectivity options, Vivo S5 supports 5G ( SA/NSA network), dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, NFC and audio codecs like aptX HD and LDAC via the Type-C port as it lacks a 3.5 mm headphone jack. The device comes with FunTouch OS on top of Android 10 out of the box, and the same packs a 4,000 mAh battery that charges with 33W flash charger inside the box. The smartphone comes in white, black and Monet colour options. The phone is very lean as its just 7.39 mm thick and weighs just 170 grams
Pricing and availability
The 128 GB storage variant of Vivo S5 is priced at the CNY 2,800 ($400/€340) and the 256 GB variant is priced at  CNY 3,100. It is available for pre-order in China from today and the shipping of the 128 GB variant will start from August 8th and the 256 GB variant will be shipped later.
