Google has announced a redesign for the pack of services including Gmail. The company which is known to shake up its style often has done it again. As a part of the change, it has renamed the G Suite to Google Workspace. This rebranding does not alter any functionalities but will see a change in icons of its suite of apps
The most notable change can be seen in Gmail which gets a new multicolour logo resembling the playfulness of the brand and gone is the all-red M. The Google apps like Calendar, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Meet, among others have also received a revamp. Whether you like it or not, this brings all the apps under a shared design and identity.

This change also brings in a new feature allowing users to create and collaborate on a document with guests in a chat room, share content, work together with people outside your organization, and so on. Now the Chat, email, voice and video calling, as well as content management and collaboration are a part of the Google Workspace. With Google Sheets, Docs or Slides you can preview a linked file without opening it in a new tab.
Typing ‘@’ will bring Google will show contact details for that person, provide context, and suggest actions like adding them to your Contacts or reaching out via chat, email, or video. After reaching Gmail and Chat, Meet picture-in-picture video calls are coming to Docs, Sheets, and Slides very soon. These changes will reach Google users worldwide in the coming weeks in a staged manner.
