Chinese tech company Realme has been growing rapidly since its launch as a sub-brand of OPPO in 2018.By the end of 2020, the company had set a record as the fastest growing brand with over 50 million exports. A year later, the brand set another world record. According to Strategy Analytics, Realme is currently the fastest growing brand with over 100 million smartphone shipments.
According to the report, it took 37 months for Realme to grow from zero to 100 million exports. Neil Mawston, executive director of Strategy Analytics, says Realme is the only brand to have achieved this in the last 25 years. In other words, the young brand is faster than Apple, Samsung, Nokia, Huawei, Xiaomi and others.
In addition, according to the report, the growth of Realme was strongly driven by China and India. In fact, Madhav Seth, the brand’s CEO of India and Europe, recently revealed that about 50 million Realme smartphone users are from India.
Not only that, Realme is currently the fastest growing smartphone brand in China. The brand recorded 175% HoH growth in its own country in the first half of 2021.
In India, the brand ranked fourth in the first quarter of Q2 2018. Currently, in Q2 2021, Realme has a market share of 14% in the country.
