Carl Pie left the OnePlus from and this year he announced a new tech company called “Nothing”. Well, the first product from “Nothing” is a TWS earphone and the same dubbed NOTHING Ear 1. It is a premium TWS earbuds with features like ANC. Well, if you are someone who is planning to purchase the device then you have a piece of good news as the company is offering the device with a discounted price tag.
The very popular shopping website Flipkart is gearing up to post the much-anticipated Flipkart Big Billion Days Sale and that will offer the Nothing ear 1 with a discount of ₹500.
You will also get the additional card discounts will make the pricing somewhere around ₹5000. That is a pretty cool deal. You guys can check out the complete details of the truly wireless earphones below.
Design:
Nothing Ear 1 has a new and unique design for a TWS. We have seen some limited-edition smartphones and stuff with design reflecting what’s inside. Though those were just a design print on solid material, Nothing actually reflected it. This set of earbuds have a clear plastic material through which we can see what’s inside the earbuds. And not just the earbuds, even its case is also transparent and we can clearly see the buds resting inside the case. Other than this, these are in-ear design buds with soft silicon tip. It is water resistance, and single earbud weighs at just 4.7 grams. The case can be charged with Type-C cable and Qi Wireless Charging.
Features:
Ear (1) is loaded with good number of features, and the most interesting one is Active Noise Cancellation (ANC). This can be easily found in good earbuds with slight premium price range, so it’s expected to have in these ones as well. Nothing says it has two levels of Noise Cancellation. And it has Transparency mode to listen to surrounding sound as well. Other than this, the Ear (1) has 11.6mm dynamic driver on each bud. It has SBC and AAC audio codec support. And that’s a bit disappointing. Though the best in the market, LDAC is found in very premium segment. But at least Qualcomm’s aptX HD support should be present. But let’s wait and see, maybe Nothing’s sound tuning doesn’t need these codecs at all. There is support for touch control on both earbuds for volume, play/pause, ANC on/off, etc.
There’s a dedicated app for both iOS and Android for customizing touch controls and updating bud’s software. It has Bluetooth 5.2 support. Nothing claims that single bud can be used for up to 4 hours on a single charge with ANC turned on. With ANC off, the battery time goes up to 5.7 hours. Charging the case will give around 34 hours of usage on both buds.
