Android is the most popular mobile operating system and the same powers millions of devices around the globe. However, the operating system becomes very slow and offers laggy performance after a couple of months of usage especially if you are using a budget Android smartphone. The real reason behind this issue is your phone is not able to handle all processing. Well, today I will tell you a couple of steps that will run your Android phone faster. Welcome to yet another article of the Akhil Explains series and let’s get into the article to check out the steps to run your phone faster.
Uninstall and disable apps
First of all, you need to realize that your storage will not be increased which means you need to store only useful things on the board. So you need to uninstall the applications which you never use or use very early. You may also find many applications that can’t be uninstalled but the same can be disabled. This step is crucial because every application consumes a limited amount of storage as well as resources of your Android phone and this will make your device slow. So go to the settings app of your Android smartphone and select Applications then identify the unwanted applications and simply uninstall them and also disable the applications which are not in the use.
Make your home screen clean
The home screen is the face of your phone and you may customize the home screen with many widgets and you may also apply live wallpapers to showcase the home screen attractive. But this will make your device slow because the widgets and live wallpapers take lots of resources. You need to remove all the widgets from your home screen and also replace the live wallpaper with a static image. Moreover, if you use a third-party launcher then uninstall that as well.
Clear cache
Caches are very important in smartphones as they store data applications and helps to open an app quickly by pulling the data from the storage. But this will affect the performance of the smartphones as well because the applications which you use very rarely will also keep its data in the storage bank and that will consume the resources of your device and that will make the phone slow. So you need to go to the settings app and remove the caches, this will free up much space and that will also enhance the performance of your phone which will eventually make your phone faster.
Clean your internal storage
Filling up the space of internal storage is also a primary reason for the slow performance of your phone and this happens because of the applications which you install on your phone along with the media in which fills in the device via the instant messaging applications and other sources. You must move all those media files and apps to the external storage (if your phone allows) otherwise you need to move all the media to the cloud or save the images on your computer and make the internal storage free. The more available storage will provide better as well as enhanced performance and that will make your phone run faster.
Use lite versions of apps
Nowadays, you will get lite versions of applications of many popular applications such as Facebook and more. The lite versions of applications will consume less amount of resources and memory of your Android phone and that improves the device’s performance.
Don’t install applications from unknown sources
You will find third-party app stores on the Android platform but don’t depend on the same because that will consume lots of resources and take control on your device. Always depend on the official channel like Google Play Store and uninstall the third-party services instantly.
Turn off or Reduce Animations
Animations make the device look awesome but they will affect the performance of the device as well. If you are facing a huge problem with the performance and the device is very slow then you need to turn off or reduce animations of your device and this can be done by heading to the Settings > About phone and tap the build number seven times and the same will bring developer option on your device. Now, you can disable or reduce the animations. Here, you can adjust the Window animation scale, Transition animation scale, and Animator duration scale.
So these are the few steps that can make your Android phone run faster. Comment your experience in the comments section below, after performing the above mentioned steps on your current Android phone.
