Koo Launches Voluntary Self-Verification for All Users

Koo is the Indian social media platform that gives a head-to-head competition to Twitter and the same was introduced in the year 2020. The platform gained lots of popularity when the Government of the country planned to ban Twitter in India.

The Indian microblogging platform Koo offers a similar experience like Twitter on the board but the same is also having features like edit button which is Twitter currently planning to add to the platform. 

Well, now Koo is coming up with an interesting feature and that will enable users to get a verification badge next to their name on the platform. 

The social media platform has confirmed that users can able to self verify and they will get a green colour tick mark on the profile. Users need to fill up a form with the government ID information along with an OTP to verify and the same will offer you a verification badge.

The new decision will help to reduce their speeches and also to promote the exact information on the platform.
