The developers of WhatsApp are very busy bringing new features but the company is also planning to generate revenue with the platform as well. Now we got a new piece of information that is suggesting that WhatsApp is testing a subscription model on the platform and that will be for the Business profiles.
It is reported that WhatsApp is testing a subscription model for the WhatsApp Business application and the same will enable users to make a payment for some extra features and services.
The report is claiming that the developers of WhatsApp have started testing the subscription model on Android along with desktop and iOS platforms. There is no information about the features that will be available after subscribing to a plan but it is believed that the company will enable Business profiles to link up to 10 devices and it is worth mentioning that the company offers only four devices to be linked with its multi-device feature.
Apart from that, it is also said that the company may offer a custom link feature after purchasing a plan as well. Having said that, the report says that users can able to continue using the current version on the WhatsApp Business application as well which means you can able to use the free version of the service as well but you will not get the additional features.
We don’t know the date of the availability of the new subscription model on the platform but we are looking forward to learn more about the same in the coming days. We recommend you to stay tuned with us for more interesting information from the technological world at your fingertips.
