Tecno Mobile has officially announced its new Tecno Camon 19 series globally during a global launch event at the Rockefeller Centre in New York. The smartphone series includes the Camon 19 Pro 5G, Camon 19 Pro, Camon 19 Neo (which was originally announced in Bangladesh), and the Tecno Camon 19. The smartphone series is also including a custom camera sensor as well. Tecno Camon 19 Pro & Camon 19 Pro 5G
The Tecno Camon 19 Pro 5G is the superstar of the smartphone series and the device is featuring a 64MP RGBW sensor and it is the first phone to feature this particular camera sensor and the same is manufactured by the South Korean electronics giant Samsung. It is also said that the smartphone is featuring the “industry’s slimmest bezel” and it is having just 0.98 mm.
Tecno Camon 19 5G features a 6.8-inch LCD display with an FHD+ resolution along with a 120Hz refresh rate. It is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 810 mobile processor along with a Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. It is also coming with 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM along with 128GB and 256GB UFS 2.2 storage options.
It is featuring a diamond coating on the back panel that depicts 200 million stars in a bright starry sky. The device is featuring a 64MP camera with RGBW + (G + P) Lens co-developed with Samsung, on the back panel along with a 2MP depth sensor and a 2MP AI camera. On the front, the device features a 16MP front camera.
On the other hand, the non-5G called Tecno Camon 19 Pro is having the power of the Helio G96 mobile processor and it is also featuring a 64MP main camera at the rear with OIS along with a 50MP portrait camera with 2x optical zoom and a 2MP portrait lens. The display and the front camera setup is same as the 5G variant.
Both devices are running on Android 12 out of the box with XOS and the devices are housing a 5000mAh battery with 33W fast charging. The devices are also featuring a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for an additional layer of security.

Now let’s talk about the vanilla Tecno Camon 19, the device features a 6.8-inch LCD display with 2460 X 1080 pixels resolution. The device is powered by an Octa-Core MediaTek Helio G85 processor along with 4GB / 6GB RAM and 128GB storage.
Speaking about the camera, Tecno Camon 19 features a triple rear camera setup including a 64MP main shooter along with a 2MP depth sensor and a 2MP AI camera. On the front, the device offers a 16MP front facing camera.
It is housing a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging and the device is running on Android 12 with XOS. The device also features a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
Pricing and availability
The Tecno Camon 19 Pro 5G pricing starts at $320 while the 4G model has a starting price tag of $280. The company will make the devices available including Africa, Latin America, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and Southern Asia starting this month.
