According to a new leak, the upcoming iPhone series with a USB Type-C port will have to be MFI-certified and the same stands for Made For iPhone/ iPad. Ironically, USB Type-C stands for Universal Serial Bus Type-C.
It is said that the company will be using a custom integrated circuit interface for the charging port and the same will enable to authenticate the accessory that is connected to the iPhone.
