CES 2026 is here, and just like every tech company showcases its new tech innovations, we have a new AI-based company, Takway, which steals the stage with its new virtual pet powered by AI. Takway’s new pet companions, also known as Sweekar, are designed to offer a digital companion. Thanks to AI, the new companions are also capable of understanding and performing various tasks with human commands.

Takway has taken the design inspiration from the classic Tamagotchi toys from the 90s, giving it an egg-like shape with small eyes and even a built-in screen on the front showing its face.
The company is also offering different colour options, including pink, yellow, and blue.
As per the release, the Sweekar virtual pet also follows the two-day incubation period before it hatches, and after the hatch, the user will be required to feed and care for the pet just like we do for real pets.
The release statement also mentions the life stages of Sweekar, starting from egg to getting hatched to be a baby, then growing up as a teen and later as an adult, and in each stage, the companion is trained to be more independent to perform and won’t require constant support.
AI capabilities explained
Takway is using built-in AI in combination with both Google’s Gemini LLM models and ChatGPT’s LLM model, and also has a built-in AI memory system, which helps Sweekar store, recall, and remember his/her owner’s voice. Past activities also help in performing personality-based interactions.

Sweekar AI Virtual Pet – Pricing and Expected Launch
Takway has really shown how AI is capable of making such innovative products. After the showcase at CES 2026, Takway has announced to start a Kickstarter campaign by March, and the pricing for these new AI virtual pets is expected to range from $100 to $150.
Although we have yet to receive the official launch date from the company.
