The Mountain View company Google has officially introduced its Emergency Location Service, or ELS in the markets of India and Uttar Pradesh will be the first state of the country where the company has released the feature. The new feature is integrated into the state’s 112 emergency response system to help first responders locate callers faster during emergencies.
Google has built the service into Android and its meant for the situations where callers are unable to clearly share their location due to panic, weak network signals, or sudden call drops. The system is capable to automatically precise location details to emergency services without any manual action from the user.
This particular service has the power of the Android Fused Location Provider including data from GPS, Wi Fi, and cellular networks to calculate the caller’s position. So let’s wait for the availability of the service in more parts of the country.
